Volta is a music centre that supports upcoming musical talent in Belgium. With its residence-program Volta gives musicians the opportunity to develop their work in a professonial and inspiring context.
The purpose of the residence is to experiment: its focus lies on the proces not on the result.
We are happy to see how our artists in residence have grown tremendously in their musical quest.

Een gek feest voor jongens en meisjes die graag spicy nootjes vreten.
Gecureerd door theatermaker Julien Neirynck (aka de keutelkeizer) en DJ Flapy.
Men kan er zich te goed doen aan live acts, performances, dj’s en interactief gedoe. Na een eerste editie in Gent, strijkt deze eclectische happening neer in Het Bos.
VIEZE MEISJE
De ‘Vieze Cirkel’ is een club-concert waarmee Vieze Meisje willekeurige saamhorigheid tot stand brengt die troost en hoop geeft in een wereld die zich oneindig herhaalt in zijn omwentelingen en waarvan het maar zwaar de vraag is of voortbewegen daar ooit iets aan zal bijdragen.

Maya wants to use the residence in Volta as a platform for the search to the identity of her new project called ‘Vieze Meisje’. The concrete goal of the residence is to work towards a live act.
